Cherating

よ。週末なのに仕事じゃ。But I'm actually bored - you know, being a manager and all, I'm only as good as the team. So that's why progress is a bit slow today. なわけでブログってます。
ところで！Flying to Cherating Beach Club Med tomorrow!!　旅行だ。しかも俺として珍しいのんびりコースのビーチリゾート。たまーにはと思って。But what's even more exciting is that the riding season will begin soon. Have got to make it out to stretch the legs at least once this year. 新しい板欲しいな。。。

This will be my final entry. 最後だ。 Final entry of my 20's. Only minutes to go. ２０代最後の数分、こんなことやってていいのか？ま、それをおいといて。。。It's somewhat of a shoker, turning 30. I'm sure it won't matter in a few days time, but man that was a good 10 years, too bad it has to end. さ～三十路こい！

I'm Back!

オ～マイガ。It's been so long. Almost a year. What a loser. じゃなくて。Guess I've been too busy and/or lazy to update. Or so goes the excuse. Now that I have a real desktop computer (and a broken laptop), もうちょっとブログのアップデートできるべ。
But that's all for now. See you in another year!

from Middle Earth

Live from New Zealand!! I'm out here for a week of riding. As of this trip, I am now quite sure that I am スーパー晴れ男 and hence I do not bring any 雪。雪が無い。Powder ga nai. Is this massive trip just a waste of money? Did I come just to make sure that the toilet does drain in the opposite direction? (note to self: check) Yesterday, in Cardrona was actually a very good day, excellent weather, with 'spring-like' conditions. Today we went to Treble Cone, and it rained. 雨かよ。BUT! I am hoping that this means snow in the higher regions. Heli is a green light? I sure hope so, otherwise it turns out that we've come down here 'for the sheep'. It is however, a very beautiful country, this Middle Earth. I will post pics soon.

Boarding Life Of Gosuke

久々に Wakeboarding 行ってきました。
It was a hot summer day, and the lake, 山中湖 was really rough. Lots of boats and jet skis roughing up the water. こんな時期にいい面を期待できないんだね。But we toughed it out, and probably had my best runs yet. やっとツーウェイク飛べたぜ！Also threw in a couple of grabs.
Two days later now, and my sun tan, and especially my right leg, are still killing me. Good practise for the snow slopes... ;)

Blind Life Of Gosuke

I'm not that blind, but I do wear glasses. しかも同じメガネを４年使いました。いい加減に新しいのに変えたかった。I looked and looked, and really funky glasses seem to be the rage in Tokyo these days... Too funky for me. So I went pretty 正統派。
I like Oakleys, but I didn't want my everyday glasses to look like I'm ready to go for a bike ride or something. I think these ones are pretty toned done, and you can't really tell that they are Oakleys unless you really look at the arms. Plus they're shiny 'Black Chrome' which is always cool.

Also check out the case they come with though!
魚雷！Lightning Fish! Torpedo! Aluminum hard case. I'll bet it's bulletproof, just like the lenses...

ハロー S2000

My new car, a first year Honda S2000 (AP1)! I haven't had a chance to really push it yet, but the engine response is incredible, especially compared to the Imp. Only now do I really realise what turbo lag is. インプのレスポンスの悪さに慣れててヒール＆トゥやるときオーバーレヴしちゃう。Power pales in comparison, but the handling has great potential. It's tuned up really well I think - the previous owner put alot of heart into it. The exhaust note is amazing (Kakimoto muffler), the suspension is firm but not jolting （インプの純正のサスよる硬いけど）,the ECU gives good low-end torque which many say is the S2K's weakness, and the brakes are great. 最初にイジルとこ？ホイールが欲しいね。
So I actually owned two cars - an STi and an S2000 （バカみたいでしょ？）, for two months, but parked on different ends of the city. Contemplating a more practical two-car life for the winter, maybe a old Estima or Odyssey or something. We'll see...
But anyways, now two months into life with a チョー不便 two seater convertible. Great fun!

バイバイ Imp

So after over four years, I've finally passed off my old car. That being a 1998 Subaru Impreza WRX STi version5 (GC8). やっと手放せて金銭的な負担（保険ぐらいか、駐車場を運良くタダだ使わせてもらったので） が無くなってよかったんだけど、長い付き合いだったので少し寂しい。
Because what a car it was (or is, as my friend who has picked it up will find out, as soon as he masters the stick shift. Taking it for a last spin the amount of power and stability on the road still brought a smile to my face.
Flat 4 'boxer' engine, intercooler turbo churning out 280ps, tons of torque (37Nm I think?), and 4WD. That unique boxer sound, crazy acceleration after 3000rpms, turns on anything. 45,000km of great driving. But all good things must come to an end, 違う車に乗ってみたい。。。

Debut作

After an almost 7 year absense from the net, I'm back. This blogging thing has caught my attention, and I hope my life is interesting enough to provide worthy content to cyberspace. I plan to write in both 英語 and Japanese. Depends on the subject, 気分にもよるし、but I figure 90% English, 10% 日本語。よろしく。Enjoy!
